L79: Daniel Cohn-Bendit

Daniel Cohn-Bendit is a politician. And a football fan. In his autobiography «Unter den Stollen der Strand», he reflects on his time in the European Parliament, where he intermittently represented the German and then the French Green Party, and, moreover, describes how both football and Europe have shaped his life. For Cohn-Bendit, football is more than sport. It is a mirror of society, of politics, a mirror of life – including his own.

79th reading within the L-literature series in collaboration with Orell Füssli, Tages-Anzeiger, Schauspielhaus Zürich and Apollo 8.
