Maike Müller (she/her) studied German Linguistics and Literature, Philosophy, Art and Cultural Studies in Mannheim, Prague and Vienna. She completed internships and assistantships in directing, communication and dramaturgy at the Nationaltheater Mannheim and the Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin, where she subsequently worked at STUDIO Я in 2018/19. From 2019-2022, she worked as a dramaturgy assistant and dramaturge at the Burgtheater in Vienna, and from 2022-2024 as a freelance dramaturge at institutions such as the Burgtheater, Wiener Wortstätten, TD Berlin, CERN Geneva and Theater Nestroyhof Hamakom. In 2023, Maike was also a scholarship holder of the International Forum of the Theatertreffen Berlin and, together with the director Dominika Julia Homa, received the process and research funding from the FONDs Darstellende Künste Berlin to further develop their multilingual theatre practice. In the 2024/25 season, Maike is a dramaturge at the Schauspielhaus Zürich. She is interested in theatre as a space for reflection on socio-political issues and as a potential site for subversive imagination.
