Julienne De Muirier

Julienne De Muirier is a German-Afro-American writer specializing in drama and prose. She has written for theater productions at Theater Oberhausen, Theater Dortmund, and Theater Lübeck. Her work explores themes of alienation, life in the diaspora, and the concept of self. Her prose has been featured in magazines such as BELLA triste, Das NARR, Yallah Salon, and defrag Zine.

As part of the theater collective Operation Memory, she developed a production at Schauspiel Dortmund in 2022 and was shortlisted for the WORTMELDUNGEN Förderpreis the same year. In 2023, she wrote for the production blues in schwarz weiß at Residenztheater in Munich.

Julienne De Muirier received the Ruhr Förderpreis in 2023 for her short story Nachtfahrt.
