Aina Rea Aliotta (1999*) works and lives in Zürich as an educator and artist. They hold a Bachelor in artistic education from the Zurich University of the Arts with a specialisation in un-learning processes and was nominated for the ZHdK Bachelor Förderpreis. After starting on stage in the Jungthaeter collective in the free theatre scene in Zürich, they’ve recently been performing in shows for the artist Monster Chetwynd in galleries across Europe. Aina's own performances are characterised by investigation of experienced ambiguities and remembrance. Their works have been shown at Villa Renata in Basel, the Magadino Art Department, Performer's Rule at Schauspielhaus Zurich and Galerie Durchgang in Basel.
Since 2020, Aina has been researching and writing on queer-feminist, post-migrant and anti-discriminatory topics for magazines such as Zollfreilager, Hox Magazin and Jungkunst Magazin. As a mediator, Aina enables anti-discriminatory transformative processes which have taken place in Swiss museums as well as in local activist-collective contexts such as the post migrant DREIDE collective. Aina is currently co-organising the young theatre festival Grätsche, which will take place in February 2025 at the Dynamo Kulturzentrum in Zurich. In March 2025, Aina can be seen in Suna Gürler's new play at Schauspielhaus Zürich.
