Schauspielhaus Zürich invites you to join in! Whether you’re theater-savvy or a newcomer, young or old, BIPOC* or ally*, we create spaces for encounters in the theater and with theater: performing it, making it, or experiencing it together.

Jugendclubs

With the change of artistic director at the Schauspielhaus for the 2024/25 season, the artistic direction of the youth clubs will also change. But the programme will remain: In three clubs, young people between the ages of 14 and 24 who are enthusiastic about theatre can try out theatrical forms of expression on a weekly basis. During the rehearsal process, you will come together as a group, discuss and play together and allow a wide variety of content to collide. In spring, all the clubs will present the plays they have created on a theatre stage.

Doppelspiel

Our DOPPELSPIEL is more than just spectatorship. While the adults sit and watch the show, the kids discover the same show behind the scenes. In playful workshops, children engage the themes of the performance in an age-appropriate manner. Dates for DOPPELSPIEL workshops can be found in the monthly performance schedule and on the website. Doppelspiel is for children between the ages of 7 and 12.

Schau und Spiel

With SCHAU UND SPIEL, we offer children ages 8 to 10 a multi-day course during school holidays. They can take a look behind the scenes and perform themselves. We publish all information on the website in advance.

Theaterjahr & offene Bühne

THEATERJAHR consists of five young people between the ages of 18 and 22 who have the chance to get to know different areas of the theater from the inside and work on the Schauspielhaus artistic education team for a season. They also organize OFFENE BÜHNE (open stage) on the second Saturday of every month.

Enterspaces

The ENTERSPACES series provides different formats for BIPOC* & allies*, for encounters, art reception, exchange, and empowerment. The series creates space for marginalized people in urban society, invites exchange and dialogue, and aims to create less discriminatory spaces in the theater. Dates for ENTERSPACES events can be found in the monthly schedule.
