THE BIRDS – EASY READ
The play THE BIRDS is about two worlds:
The world of humans.
And the world of birds.
Two humans want to live among the birds.
In the sky.
They tell the birds they will help them gain more power.
But in truth, the humans want more power for themselves.
They take advantage of the birds.
The birds become angry.
And together, they fight back against the humans.
Director Lilja Rupprecht weaves together three stories:
One is 2,500 years old.
The second is a short story.
The third is well known from a horror film.
A new story emerges.
It asks: Who gets how much space in the world?
How much space do the birds have?
How much space do the humans take?
It is also about fear.
Fear of a world that suddenly changes.
The play is told with words.
But also with movement and dance.
With images and music.
