The Happy Few

By BRONKS; Choreography & Direction: Randi De

A production at Blickfelder Festival

Are they fake news or are they the new fake? Anyone can be anything, it seems. Online and in physical reality. Five players enact themselves, wanting to be irresistible. An ultimate proposition: Simultaneously they can be politicians, academics, consumers, producers, activists, terrorists, racists, journalists and idealists. They play snobby wannabes, superhuman dance virtuosos, and stand-up comedians. They show themselves as martyrs and provoke, they sing arias and make themselves vulnerable. For whom? For humanity, for future generations, for those who can't choose between harsh reality and an Instagram fairy tale?

"The Happy Few" is a visually powerful piece that deals with identities and gender roles.”
