Jojo Büld

Jojo Büld, born in 1975 and raised in Berlin-Kreuzberg, studied popular music in Hamburg. As a sought-after studio musician, multi-instrumentalist and musical director, he has worked with artists such as Donovan, Boss Hoss, Jasmin Tabatabai, Lemonbabies, Alexander Hacke, Adel Tawil, Ohrbooten and many others.

Since 2001 Jojo Büld has composed various film scores & more than 40 stage scores at the Berliner Volksbühne, Staatstheater Stuttgart, Theater Bremen and Schauspielhaus Zürich. As a musical director, he has worked with Dani Levy, Alvis Hermanis, Nicolas Stemann and Elias Perrig, among others. From 2009 to 2014, he worked as an in-house composer at the Landestheater Tübingen. Since then, he has enjoyed a long-standing collaboration with Simone Sterr and Ralf Siebelt.

Since January 2015, he has been head of "Ensemble Music" at the Schauspielhaus Zürich. Jojo Büld lives and runs his studio on Lake Constance. He founded the band "Stereolites" with his wife Anna Kalberer.
