Rona Schauwecker

Rona Schauwecker has been Head of Marketing & Communications at the Schauspielhaus Zurich since the 2020/21 season. She previously worked in the film industry for around 15 years. As head of communications at Swiss Films, she led the redesign project of the international promotion agency of swiss films, among other things. She has worked in film production and distribution in both acquisition and marketing. Furthermore, she has helped curate and organise a number of film festivals, and acted as press officer, including the International Short Film Festival Winterthur, the documentary film festival Visions du Reel in Nyon and the Fribourg International Film Festival. She studied journalism, film studies and art history at the University of Zurich and directing and script development at NYU Tisch School of the Arts in New York. She is a mother of two children and lives with her family in Zurich.
