Michael Neuenschwander

Michael Neuenschwander was born in Bern in 1962. After completing his formal training at Bern University of the Arts, he performed at Stadttheater Aachen and Staatsschauspiel Dresden. From 1994 to 1998, he was an ensemble member at Zürcher Theater Neumarkt. From 1998 to 2001, he was with Theater Basel, and from 2001 to 2004, he was an ensemble member at the Münchner Kammerspiele. Michael Neuenschwander is also known to a wide audience for his appearances in numerous television and film productions in Switzerland and Germany. He has acted on camera under Swiss directors Stina Werenfels (Nachbeben 2006), Michael Steiner (Grounding - Die letzten Tage der Swissair, 2006), Christoph Schertenleib (Zwerge sprengen, 2010), Cihan Inan (180° - Wenn Deine Welt plötzlich Kopf steht, 2010, Zone Rouge, 2018), Walter Feistle (Dead Fucking Last, 2011), Dominique Othenin-Girard (Die Schweizer - Werner Stauffacher und die Schlacht am Morgarten, 2012), Sabine Boss (Der Goalie bin ig, 2013) and Lisa Gertsch (Fast alles, winner of the Silver Student Academy Award 2018). Michael Neuenschwander has been an ensemble member at Schauspielhaus Zurich since the 2010/11 season.
