Michel Güntert

Trained as an audio-video electronics technician and lighting technician. Founded smARTec Veranstaltungstechnik in 1999 and "allesmachbar GmbH" in 2007. Since 2011 lighting master and deputy head of department at the Schauspielhaus Zurich, from 2024 head of lighting. Lighting designer and technician with extensive international touring experience, including for Cathy Sharp Dance Company and Thorgevsky&Wiener. Collaboration with Karin Henkel, Bastian Kraft, Nicolas Stemann, Suna Gürler, Leonie Böhm, among others.


* 1974, lives in Aarau, Switzerland. Trained as an audio-video electronics technician (1995) and as a lighting technician (2005). Has worked as a lighting technician since 1995, first on musicals and then as a freelancer. Founded smARTec Veranstaltungstechnik in 1999 and "allesmachbar GmbH" in 2007. He successfully implements lighting ideas at home and abroad. He is technical director at various theaters (Rigiblick) and festivals (Rote Fabrik, Tanzhaus Wasserwerk, Blickfelder) as well as at various events. Since 2011 Lighting Master and Deputy Head of Department at Schauspielhaus Zürich and from the beginning of 2024 Head of Lighting. Lighting designer and lighting technician with extensive international touring experience, including for Cathy Sharp Dance Company, Thorgevsky&Wiener, Daniel Rohr, Salome Schneebeli, Felix Dumeril, Duncan Rowens, Heinz Spoerrli's Zurich Ballet. Collaboration with Karin Henkel, Bastian Kraft, Nicolas Stemann, Suna Gürler, Leonie Böhm and others at the Schauspielhaus. He is committed to professional training and staff development, including for prospective lighting and stage managers as well as event specialists and event technicians (FA).
