Maira Bieler

Born in Cologne. Studied stage and costume design at the Dresden University of Fine Arts under professors Kattrin Michel and Barbara Ehnes. Assisted at theatres and operas in Cologne, Erfurt, Weimar, Wuppertal, Bregenz, Göttingen, Geneva, Frankfurt a.M. and Berlin. Freelance work for the Staatsschauspiel Dresden, the Neuköllner Oper Berlin, the Toppler Theatre Rotenburg and the Meininger Staatstheater. With RAUM+ZEIT, Maira Bieler combines the works REQUIEM at Theater Bielefeld, SELFPORTRAIT Giacometti at TD Berlin, BERLAU :: KÖNIGREICH DER GEISTER at Berliner Ensemble and MÄDCHENMÖRDER :: BRUNKE at Staatstheater Braunschweig, which have been created since 2020. She also works as a production designer and set prop maker for film and television.
