Katrin Wichmann is a German film, television and theatre actress. After studying acting at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien in Hanover, she performed at the Theater Basel and the Thalia Theater Hamburg, and was a member of the ensemble at the Deutsches Theater Berlin from 2009 to 2023. Formative works include those with Armin Petras, René Pollesch, Lilja Rupprecht, Michael Thalheimer, Stefan Kimmig, Jorinde Dröse, Stefan Pucher and Mitko Gottscheff.
In film, she works closely with Bjarne Mädel, Stefan Krohmer, Andreas Kleinert and Laura Lackmann. In 2024 she received the German Acting Award for Best Duo in 'Sörensen fängt Feuer', and in 2022 the Grimme Award and the German Acting Award for a comedic role in 'Sörensen hat Angst'. She was also awarded the Boy Gobert Prize by the Körber Foundation in Hamburg in 2007.
