Video designer
Ruth Stofer studied art and media at the University of the Arts in Zurich. After completing her master's degree in 2010, she went to work as a video technician at the Schauspielhaus in Zurich, where she collaborated on many theatre productions. Since 2016, she has worked as a freelancer, creating video designs for Jan Bosse, Eva-Maria Höckmayr, Chris Kondek, Volker Lösch, Ruedi Häusermann and Karin Henkel, among others. In the field of opera, she previously worked with director Christof Loy on Tchaikovsky’s Lieder ONLY HE WHO KNOW YEARNING at Oper Frankfurt and on Lohengrin at the National Opera and Ballet in Amsterdam, with Frank Hilbrich on DOCTOR ATOMIC at Theater Bremen, with Vasily Barkhatov on Ligeti's LE GRAND MACABRE at Oper Frankfurt and with Nina Russi on Handel's SERSE at Oper Zürich.
