Rasmus Stahel

Rasmus Stahel was born in 1986 in Winterthur. After an apprenticeship as a caretaker, he was drawn to the theatre. In 2006, he took part in the Theaterjahr at the Schauspielhaus Zürich under the artistic direction of Annette Raffalt. He was able to stay on the programme for three years, working mainly with lighting, sound and stagecraft. In 2009, he completed his training as an event technician and was offered a permanent position in the lighting department at the Schauspielhaus Zürich. From 2009 to 2019, Rasmus worked as a lighting technician at the Junges Schauspielhaus under the artistic direction of Petra Fischer and Enrico Beeler, and was responsible for the lighting design and set-up of numerous children's and youth theatre productions. Since 2019, he has worked as a lighting technician on all stages of the Schauspielhaus. He also regularly designs and sets the lighting for various theatre productions in the independent scene.
