Alicia Aumüller, born in Salzburg in 1983, studied at the Zurich University of the Arts. After completing her training, she joined the Theater Neumarkt as a permanent ensemble member in 2008, before moving to the Thalia Theater Hamburg from 2012 to 2019.She has worked with directors including Barbara Weber, Christoph Schlingensief, Jette Steckel, Anne Lenk, Luk Perceval, Johann Simons, Jan Bosse, Stefan Pucher and the artist duo Tiit Ojasoo and Ene-Liis Semper.She has been a member of the Schauspielhaus Zürich ensemble since the 2019/2020 season.Here she plays in productions by directors Nicolas Stemann, Yana Ross and Trajal Harrell, among others.
In 2021, she was awarded the "Golden Mask" for her acting performance in Yana Ross' production "My Year of Rest and Relaxation". In 2021 and 2022 she will be invited to Melpignano/Apulia as Artist in Residence. Together with Barbara Weber and Giacomo Veronesi, she develops several site-specific performances for public spaces. In 2023 she will receive the Gertrud Eysoldt Ring together with her acting partner Patrycia Ziolkowska for her performance in "Oedipus, Tyrant" directed by Nicolas Stemann. Alicia Aumüller lives in Zurich with her son and husband.
