Moritz Grove

Born and raised in Hamburg, Moritz Grove studied at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg from 2004 to 2008. From 2008 to 2009, he was a member of the ensemble at Thalia Theater Hamburg, and from 2009 to 2017, he was part of the ensemble at Deutsches Theater Berlin, where he worked with directors such as Jorinde Dröse, Michael Thalheimer, Lilja Rupprecht, Sebastian Hartmann, Milan Peschel, and Studio Braun.

Since 2017, Moritz Grove has been working as a freelance actor, collaborating with Anita Vulesica, Milan Peschel, Lilja Rupprecht, Jan Bosse, Nis-Momme Stockmann, and Jan-Christoph Gockel.

He is regularly involved in film and radio productions and teaches at the Hochschule für Schauspielkunst Ernst Busch, the Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf, and the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg.

In 2011, Moritz Grove received the Berlin Art Prize in the category of Performing Arts (Young Talent Award) as well as the Daphne Prize from the TheaterGemeinde Berlin. In 2025, he was invited to the Berliner Theatertreffen with Anita Vulesica’s production Die Maschine oder Über allen Gipfeln ist Ruh.

He lives in Berlin.
