Corinna Harfouch was born in Suhl, Germany, and trained at the Ernst Busch Hochschule für Schauspielkunst in Berlin. Since graduating, she has performed on all the major stages, including Berlin's Schaubühne am Lehniner Platz, the Deutsches Theater Berlin, the Staatstheater Stuttgart and the Schauspielhaus Hannover. In 2013, she played in Friedrich Dürrenmatt's DIE PHYSIKER at the Schauspielhaus Zürich. Corinna Harfouch has received several awards for her work in the theatre: In 1997, she was awarded the Gertrud Eysoldt Ring for outstanding achievements in acting, and in the same year she was named Actress of the Year by the magazine Theater heute for her portrayal of General Harras in DES TEUFELS GENERAL (directed by Frank Castorf).
Since her debut in front of the camera, she has appeared in more than 80 film and cinema productions. Corinna Harfouch has received numerous awards for her film work, including the Bavarian Film Prize, the Adolf Grimme Prize, the German Television Prize, the German Film Prize, the German Acting Prize, the Günter Rohrbach Prize and the Hessian Film Prize. For her role in STERBEN, she received the 2024 German Film Award in the Best Actress category.
